There are a few ways to get from Denmark into Sweden and we decided to take the ferry from Helsingør, which is on the northeast coast of the island of Sjælland, to Helsingborg which is in the most southern county of Sweden, Skåne. There is also a toll bridge from Helsingør to Helsingborg, but why take the road when the waterway is this beautiful?!

We found a great spot for the night on Falkenberg's peninsula. There were multiple wind turbines and we found one that was not working. The working ones make a rather loud swooshing sound and we preferred the sound of the ocean over that of the wind turbines.

We continued into Norway and spent a day in Oslo. The angular architecture of the Opera House was really beautiful and from there we had a great view of parts of the city, including the Munch Museum. It was a lovely summer day and we really enjoyed the city's vibe.

We continued our journey toward the west. It is about 465 km's from Oslo to Bergen and we took two days to drive the stretch. The roads are narrow and often winding, with gorgeous views and

beautiful rivers and lakes.

We literally kept on saying how beautiful it was every few minutes.

We found a beautiful spot for the night, at an altitude of a 1000m. There were even still patches of snow! The kids loved throwing snowballs in +21°C!

We stopped at the Vøringsfossen waterfall, which is maybe not the largest but definitely worth a visit. The closer we got to Bergen, the more fjords we drove along and the more tunnels we drove through.

We found a perfect spot in the middle or Bergen where we could stay for a few nights. It was just at the curbside of a busy street, but in the middle of town and very close to a friend of mine.

The old town of Bergen is really quaint and filled with beautiful houses. We really enjoyed the city's walkability.

My friend took us up to Fløyen (320m above sea level) by the Fløibanen funicular. The view of the city was magnificent and every hill that houses trolls is a good one ;)

Our dream was to drive from the North Cape to Cape Town... We might not totally drive the whole way but we for sure hope we get to both ends of the world during this trip!

We took the E16 out of Bergen to the east, before heading north. This way we had a chance to drive through world's longest road tunnel, the Lærdal Tunnel. It was a neat experience!

We spent a few days on the road on the way to the Artic Circle. The surroundings were spectacular; we really enjoyed our time on the road. Every night we boondocked somewhere beautiful and we loved every minute of it!

We spent some time in Trondheim, which lies on the south shore of Trondheim Fjord at the mouth of the River Nidelva. We walked through the Kristiansten Fortress and marveled at the details of the Nidaros Cathedral. The bike lift which we found at the bottom of a hill, was neat to see and so were the colourful houses and the art.
