We are glad you found our website and we hope you will stick around to check out what we have been up to lately.

We are John and Sisko and we started a year long sabbatical at the end of March, 2022. We really wanted to travel for an extensive period of time, showing the children places we have been to and exploring new places; enriching our lives with culture, nature, and new adventures.

We had been dreaming for years about a sabbatical and in the beginning of 2021 we decided that no one would ring our doorbell, with the offer to go travelling for a year. We had to really make this decision for ourselves.

Our son Myron is twelve. He loves to be active in many different kind of ways. In Manitoba, where we used to live, he was an avid sailor and an enthusiastic cornet player. 

Raija is ten and she loves to play with her dolls. She really enjoys cooking and baking with mom.

​

Our plan is to travel in Europe for about six months and then on to South Africa, where we hope to travel for another half a year. If all goes well, we like to travel from South Africa to the countries hugging the equator and back.
